The weavers of Koraput in Orissa, have another tradition
that is centred around weaving
- the bridal sari tradition -
which turns into a game
between the families of the bride and the groom.

This sari is a 'dus-gajee' meaning 10 hand-measures in length.











This sari is woven using very heavy cotton and natural dyes. Circa 1950.
