Vintage Hmong Meo Men's Jacket
Circa 1950
This blouse / jacket is from the ethnic Hmong Meo hilltribe in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
It is believed that they share the same origins as the Miao people
still living in China; the Hmong migrated over the centuries to livein the hills of northern Thailand.
This vintage men's jacket adorned with needlworkis part of the traditional costume worn
on a daily basis even today.
