Old Animal belt circa 1960
This belt has about 10 different motif panels,
including a swatiska and an extremely elegant
deer feature.
Swastikas are signs of good fortune in Tibet and India,
and these are mirror images of the commonly known ones
-turning clockwise as opposed to anti-clockwise.
The belt has been repaired in the past decade
and has a new buckle. A similar piece is shown in my travelogue.
