Vintage Yao Tunic Set
circa 1950
This vintage ladies' tunic with pants set is from
the Yao hilltribe of Sapa/Taphin area of Lao Cai in Vietnam.
The Yao always have a large embroidered panel on the tunic back,
large embroidered sleeve cuffs
and a Pan Hung 'Loui Tan' patch between the shoulders.
